TEACHING
Next: Professional Morning class @ Dance Ireland
Robyn’s teaching experience spans from professional to community settings and includes both youth and adults. She regularily leads professional morning training at Dance Ireland and also guest teaches for Elevate Academy of Dance and Dionysus School of Dance in Mullingar where she teaches technique in Contemporary and Jazz styles to junior and senior students.
Her aim is to share her experience and knowledge in a fun and safe environment, giving her students the skills and technique to excel, whilst also allowing them the space to discover their own sense of style and confidence in ways of moving.
As a mentor Robyn works with artists of various disciplines. She was a mentor for Taking Flights CREATE Programme for 2023. Which saw a group of aerilaists expand their practise and develop ideas for stage.
In 2021, Robyn fascilitated a mass movement choreography for 150 students with St. Mary’s Glasnevin as part of the Arts Council’s Creative Schools. Previously, Robyn ran community outreach workshops for national schools in Westmeath through the Mullingar Arts Centre from 2018-2020; teaching children timing, rhythm, co-ordination and movement skills through dance.
Robyn has also led similar workshops for young people and adults with additional needs through Across the Boards Arts (pictured ) .
Robyn has an enthusiasm for making dance accessible to everyone and for every body, with a particular interest in improvisation and movement awareness through games, tasks and creative explorations.
