QUEEN OF THE MEADOWS
8 May Project Arts Centre
Robyn Byrne presents the premiere of her evocative new dance duet, Queen of the Meadows, as part of Live Collision International Festival 2025.
“Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two –
And see what worms are eating
At the rind”
– Langston Hughes
Looping and weaving through atmospheric underworlds, undulating movements, and sonic landscapes, Queen of the Meadows offers a glimpse into a world beyond our current reality. Inspired by folk medicine, feminism and cyclic patterns in life and in history, the show invites us to trust our intuition, in order to break free from cycles we are trapped in.
This is a momentary escape from the present. It is a look to the past, to find hope for the future.
Presented by Robyn Byrne in partnership with Project Arts Centre and Live Collision.
